Canadian Summer

It’s February. This is about the time I start dreaming of a winter escape and reminiscing about the summer. It’s also the perfect month for hibernating inside and catching up on overdue blog posts!

This past June we went home to Canada and had the best time catching up with every one!

First item on the agenda was Bryan and Lindsay’s wedding! Scott and I were both a part of the wedding and we had so much fun! It was the perfect wedding weekend.

Baby Luka timed his arrival perfectly! He was born May 21st and we are so happy we got to meet him! He is such a sweet boy! We also got a chance to catch up with some friends and spend some time at our favourite spots in Kitchener.

We were able to spend lots of time at one of our favourite places – the cottage! We had Stew, Kate and Scott’s parents up for a night and then my family came up later on that week. Great food, kayaking, boat rides, BBQs, spoons, colouring books, sun, and time with family and friends- nothing better!

After our time in Ontario Scott went back to Amsterdam and I carried on to Calgary for a two week nursing placement. It was a busy two weeks filled with lots of work and studies (no pictures needed of this). I had a free weekend in between my two weeks in Calgary and took a trip to Vancouver to visit Carling, Alicia, and Julie! A girls night out, bike ride around Stanley Park, beach, rooftop BBQ pizzas, a swim in a lake surrounded by mountains, and lunch at Fergie’s rounded out the best West Coast weekend.
